The Japan Book Publishers Association, the Japan Magazine Publishers Association, the Electronic Book Publishers Association of Japan and the Digital Comic Association accused Apple, in breach of copyright on literary works distributed on the App Store.
After a complaint from the publishers some works were removed from the site of the company but many others continue to be spreading.
Among the most famous authors whose rights are violated, according to publishers, are the names of Haruki Murakami and Keigo Higashino.
Apple"s unit in Japan issued a statement on the matter, stating its willingness to resolve the problem while respecting the rights of authors.
